Will Cheney Retire for “Health Reasons”?

Posted by libhom Friday, April 27, 2007

Dennis Kucinich's courageous decision to introduce articles of impeachment against Dick Cheney creates additional pressure on the faux VP, who already is widely unpopular due to a variety of reasons, including:

  • the Iraq War and the fraud committed to get us into that war

  • his fanatical support of torture

  • his reclusive and secretive behavior

  • the conviction in the “Scooter” Libby trial

  • his efforts to intimidate those who disagree with him

  • his hateful personality

  • the fact that he was never elected to the office

Cheney has had four heart attacks and been through other heart surgery. There has been tremendous press coverage of his problems with clotting blood in his leg.

Cheney is 66 years old. This is past the theoretical American retirement age of 65, and he would personally and professionally be better off if he did retire for health reasons.

GOP political operatives must have realized by now that their jobs would be much easier if Cheney was hanging out with the bin Laden's, rather than decreasing Bush's poll numbers further than even Bush is capable of doing.

There has been some speculation on a couple of other blogs about this in the past:

Was McCain Offered Cheney's Job?

Changes in the White House

Cheney is one of the most power-mad people in world history, but even he may see the benefits of doing so. Maybe, some Republican high-rollers will be smart enough to convince him.

  2. Cindy Sheehan continues to dishonor her son’s service to his country. And when I hear this crap about her son opposing the Iraq war, it really ticks me off...like anything else un-American. When soldiers volunteer, they forfeit their right to oppose war, any war. That’s what being a soldier is. You shut your mouth and do exactly as you’re told. Period. I know because I was a soldier. If you don't like this, don't put your hand in the air. Sheehan's son did put his hand in the air. Period, with a cherry on top.

The only thing I ever opposed was having Democrats (liberal sissies) in office while I served. They always shafted us. Life in the service under a Democrat-run (liberal-controlled) government sucks. Soldiers loved it when Republicans were in power. They actually gave a shit about us and took care of us. They gave us what we needed. Democrats didn’t. The irony is that libs'/Dems' freedom to shaft us was earned BY us, not them.

Some of my best time in the service was under Cheney as Defense Secretary. He was in the chain of command I was required to memorize. He was good at it, even if he's a greedy Washington bastard now. People forget all about his good service to his country. Typical ungrateful seditious liberal behavior.

I'm no conservative and I'm no Republican, and thank God I'm not a liberal or a homo (not that I think there's anything wrong with being gay because I don't). But liberals are selling us out to the enemy. They won't admit we have a problem with radical Islam until seconds just prior to their being beheaded by Haji. Hopefully they'll lop all your heads off first.

    Doing my jig...and gone----->

  4. Cheney is a criminal and an enemy of America. People like you should be ashamed of attacking America by defending Cheney.

As for your attack on Cindy Sheehan, people will doubt you have served in the military when you use that kind of tone to attack a war mother. Disagreeing with Sheehan respectfully is one thing, smearing her with ridiculous accusations would shame the uniform of anyone who served in the military.

You are so typical of the right-wing fringe types who spew anti-American filth and mindlessly buy into talking points from Rush Limbaugh.
