The people shouting "war criminal" are absolutely correct. (Hat Tip: Let Freedom Rain)

Americans have plenty of reasons to hate Tony Blair too. His lies and Bush butt kissing played an instrumental role in getting us into Iraq and keeping us there.

Blair was at a book signing event. I've heard that his book is sellilng a lot of copies. I wonder if rich rightist are buying copies by the thousands. Most rightist books that get on the US bestseller lists do so because of this kind of bulk buying.

  2. I read somewhere else (I think HuffPo) where a conservative decried the throwing of eggs as "violence", but throwing eggs is only violent if you're a chicken. Or a chicken hawk, like Blair.

  4. Great news, he has cancelled the book signing at Waterstones store in London, but a private party is being held at Tate Modern later-

'the "secret" book launch party that he is hosting at the Tate Modern gallery on the evening of Wednesday 8 September. This has already been termed the "war criminals' party", as Blair is sure to be joined by Alistair Campbell, Jack Straw and others who helped concoct the lies that took Britain into the illegal war in Iraq.

Prominent figures from the arts - including Brian Eno, David Gentleman, Katherine Hamnett and Cat Phillips have already expressed their outrage that the Tate Modern is being used to promote Blair's memoirs, and have called on the gallery, even at this late stage, to cancel the event.'
Protest is planned Wednesday 8 September 5.30pm Tate Modern Gallery, Park Street, Bankside, London SE1 9TG Tube: Mansion House

  5. I was very happy to read that story. Turns out Tony is backing out of a signing in London because of his concern for disruption. Thank you Irish humanitarians. This is exactly how war criminals should be treated. Well, The Hague is the ultimate way, but since that won't happen, treat them like the monsters that they are.

  7. hehehe Lew Scannon.

I posted this to my fb wall. Half of my friends and family aren't going to go out of their way to seek out this sort of news, ya know? The rest will cheer and applaud. IF that is, they bother to click on the video. The other half. :-)

Thanks for the comment about the bar with the gargoyles. I'll have to find it if I'm in the neighborhood.
