As for memory loss, it is listed as a side affect of the drug on some British medical sites, though the American sites don't mention it.

christopher: Until McCain is tested, we won't know what might be causing any possible impairment of McCain.

ceara: There are people older than McCain that I think would be just fine. It seems to come and go, but in general, he is able to keep track of finances, work schedules, appointments and so on. It's no laughing matter and he isn't "crazy," but I do keep an eye out to make sure he's able to manage daily responsibilities.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12708098.post-59531759443679834582008-08-29T12:04:00.000-04:002008-08-29T12:04:00.000-04:00I'm mortified by McCains age. Long story short, your brain is turned into cottage cheese, rendering you unable to control your anger and leaving you unable to make simple and sound judgments.

I think this MO pretty well fits the person known as John McCain.Christopherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15788931352232874850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12708098.post-26780174440140154922008-08-28T20:54:00.000-04:002008-08-28T20:54:00.000-04:00I watched my grandfather devolve into full blown A...I watched my grandfather devolve into full blown Alzheimers when I was in high school and college. It's an ugly disease and McCain's behavior sure reminds me of some of what I saw with my granddad.

I know the article wasn't written by you, but just for clarity's sake. Simvastatin is a cholesterol drug (I should know, I take it) and of it's many known side effects memory loss is not one of them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
