The reasoning was that if the country could find the funds to fight the Nazi's, they could find the funds to keep their citizens healthy. Why is it that our Congress can fund a war at the drop of a hat, but they fight over health care for months? I guess I have to presume that military and insurance industry political contributions are determining factors. How sad.

I used to be against term limits for members of Congress, but I have changed my mind. The minute someone is elected, his/her priority is to raise enough funds to be re-elected. And that is sad, too.C Woodshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13053858627632648020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12708098.post-61967144335079853882009-10-17T06:25:05.067-04:002009-10-17T06:25:05.067-04:00Cool. What are the odds? Probably better than that of the Congress generating meaningful healthcare reform... but I ramble early on a Saturday.GDAEmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08348919163462907583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12708098.post-31886573499015078192009-10-16T23:18:32.835-04:002009-10-16T23:18:32.835-04:00This is what happens when you let an organization ...This is what happens when you let an organization (see: Insurance Industry) that operates like the Mafia run our health care.A World Quite Madhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18173346413223847865noreply@blogger.com
