Treatments can last a lifetime, which means a steady stream of revenue into the pockets of executives and stockholders. A cure is a one time payment that will only enrich them for a short period of time.Lew Scannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12788033661013005904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12708098.post-65118268417322667942008-12-02T10:05:00.000-05:002008-12-02T10:05:00.000-05:00I generally try to avoid the blogosphere on World ...I generally try to avoid the blogosphere on World AIDS Day as I'm tired of being told to be nice to Gay people by people who have no frigging idea what it's like to have no idea what a best friend is sick with a disease that had no name, and then have 10 more good friends die and many ancillary friends, and am tired of singing that song

AIDS toughened me. I went from being a prototype JAP who couldn't visit somebody in the hospital to being a medical social worker in hospital and hospice settings. I'm not proud that it took AIDS to change me

It was and is a needless epidemic--and I'll stop here, but blogosphere posts always make me feel as if I should wave to Gays in zoos or need to be instructed in how wonderful Gay men are

I lived in Manhattan in the 80's. Oh I could write a book on this aloneAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
