I like how Dennis Kucinich uses this to express their common values too. He does a good job of expressing the concerns of progressives in this country today in a brief message.
Kucinich also has a lot to say about Global Warming. He discusses the problems with loopholes in latest Global Warming legislation.

Yes, good old Kucinich yapping about global warming.
I would be more impressed if he yapped about the repeal of DOMA and DADT.
He's useless to me until he does something to help my tribe
It would appear that Kucinich was one of the only politicians to actually read (and understand) the bill before voting on it. As for Christopher's concerns, maybe now that the Dems have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate they'll do something about it (come on all, you're good enough, smart enough to do it) but I don't count on the corpocracy giving up such a useful wedge issue that easily.
I watched the vids with interest but I doubt that anyone in the House paid serious attention. I hope I'm being cynical but my gut tells me no.
this is OT here and I hope you'll forgive me:
Obama recently got a seat for the US in the UN's Human Rights Council. the admin is probably congratulating itself for this move. so, I think now is a good time to remind them of the human rights being ignored here at home while they play world policeman -- again.
I posted about this on my blog and included a ms people can copy & paste and edit then send to the White House.
