Ron Paul supporters on the Internet were flooding comments sections insisting that Paul's campaign was going to take the GOP, and eventually the country, by storm. Interestingly enough, the only major GOP candidate to do worse than Paul was Giuliani.
I'm curious what people, especially Paul supporters, think happened.

Having voted for Paul in the primaries (Hillary was the only democrat on the ballot in MI), I can say with utmost certainty that the corporate media chose to ignore the Paul Revolution. The "conservatives" portrayed him as a nutjob because he stated we needed to end the war in Iraq(not a good point for Bush supporters)and change our foreign policy into a more even-handed one in the Middle east (and stop supporting oppressive regimes such as the Saudis, Dubai, and Israel).
While I think Paul has slightly more charisma the McCain (which isn't saying much)ultimately his meesage had no appeal to any of the tent poles in the big tent.
What happened to Ron Paul? GEEZ. I dunno. Good support, but not as mainstream as he should be, so therefore he just didn't stand a chance. This is why we're stuck in this mindless endless Democrat vs. Republican battle.
The only two parties that will ever matter it seems, which is kind of sad.
To turn the usual phrase on its head, Paul's support was an inch wide and a mile deep. There just aren't that many Ayn Rand Objectivists.
