C Woods: Sorry to offend you. The sad reality is that democracy in NYC is so corrupt and bereft that all we can do is to hope that the local dictator goes away.

Christopher: I find it interesting that nearly all the people in NYC who have adopted the plantation mentality are white. Given the assault on the middle class be Bloomberg and other corporatists, it isn't exactly shocking that so many people are frightened into clinging to what they still have and trying not to rock the boat. It's a doomed strategy in the long run, but a lot of people are too scared to think that far ahead.
