The extreme right propaganda rag, the Washington Times, has quite entertaining owners: the Moonie cult. Let's see what the people behind the GOP's favorite newspaper are up to now. From USA Today 10/13/09:
Nearing 90 and turning over the Unification Church to his three sons, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon will perform another of his mass "weddings" this evening in extravaganzas from South Korea to the United States.
More than 40,000 people will be wed or have their marriages reaffirmed in "blessing ceremonies," the church says. In a ceremony that will be broadcast at other gatherings, more than 20,000 people — many of whom meet only moments before — will be united at Sun Moon University in Asan, south of Seoul.
Stateside, one of the largest blessings will be held tonight at the church-owned New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan.
If the GOP base really knew who their favorite politicians were pandering to....
If ever the saying, "Politics makes strange bedfellows', applied to anything, it would be the Washington Times.
